Changelog 06.07.2014 – 13.07.2014
Dear players,
today we present to you another entry in our changelog series. This weeks major fixes concern the WSG Flag capture mechanic, Freezing Traps, NPC behavior, a few specific spells as well as several improvements to Stratholme.
NPC behavior:
This week we took another look at the flee mechanic used by most humanoids and few beasts. Such NPCs will, at low health, flee from players and search for allies. Should they find any in their proximity they will alert them and rejoin the fight alongside their ally.
In our opinion this mechanic, along with the two we reported in last week’s changelog, puts NPC behavior on Kronos on par with that from retail servers.
Freezing Traps:
From now on charging through a Freezing Trap will freeze the charging player at the spot the Freezing Trap was placed. This works for all charging mechanics, i.e. Charge, Intercept as well as Feral Charge.
Stratholme:
Rockwing Gargoyles and Rockwing Screechers have been pooled, resulting in varying spawn combinations of these two NPCs on every visit. This also applies to Hearthsinger Forresten’s position, meaning he will now always appear on one of his several possible spawn locations.
Balnazzar’s ability usage has been reworked to emulate his behavior from pre-Cataclysm retail. He will no longer use his sleep and mind control abilities in rapid succession but rather cast only one or the other. Balnazzar will now also drop his sword after transforming into demon form.
Spells:
The Warlock’s Spellstones had their mechanic reworked, now removing all magical debuffs as well as buffs when being used. This of course in addition to providing the magical absorption shield.
After using the Rogue’s Pick Pocket ability on an NPC, this NPC’s pick pocket loot will now refresh after several minutes.
The Orc racial Blood Fury ability no longer increases total Attack Power but only Base Attack Power.
