Full steam ahead
Dear Community!
We are sorry for the radio silence over recent months. We know the entire community has been waiting with baited breath for an update, especially about Naxxramas.
As some of you may know, most of our Developers are university students. They devote their time and effort to help develop the project while managing Bachelor and Master degree work. In the past couple months, real life work, unfortunately, piled up on their plate which (as we hope you can understand and appreciate) divided their time. With the semesters coming to an end, our Developers are committed to start kicking some programming butt to make up for any lost time.
Right now the timeline looks as such:
Abomination Wing is expected to be ready for testing in Early/Middle July.
Development of the further two wings will be much faster than the previous ones.
So, the big question that is on everyone’s mind – when is Naxxramas going to be released?
If everything goes according to schedule and there are no setbacks, we expect to have Naxxramas ready at the latest by the end of Quarter 3. More details will be released closer to the start of the Scourge Invasion (we can’t wait!)
Other tidbits of news that we would like to pass along.
Players playing on Macs hopefully have noticed and been enjoying the transport fix which unfortunately plagued Mac client users since 2005. We have not stopped there as we have put some additional work into transports, which is still in progress. The entire revamp should hopefully bring a lot of quality of life changes (examples: pets/totems working on boats/zeppelins, working on fixing the crash that occurred when traveling with a party member, etc…)
We have also a few staff members who have been working hard to transition to our developer team. They have been putting in a lot of long hours and a lot of work, and they deserve a kudos for their commitment to both Kronos and growing their skills.
Thank you all for your patience, we are excited for the completion of Naxxramas and for everyone to relive what is probably one of the best (if not the best), and most challenging raids.
See you in Azeroth!
Safe travels
