Kronos III: One month since release
Dear Players,
We have a number of announcements to share with you today.
Donations
We have been asked numerous times whether its possible to donate and if so, where. To simplify the donation process, we have added a link to the account manager.
By sending your contribution, you agree that you are sending money as a voluntary donation to support our server. All donations are purely voluntary and the donator has no right to claim on any rewards or services on their basis. Donations will never result in preferential treatment of the donator!
Your generosity and noble-mindedness allow us to continue and improve our current and future services. Regular financial donations provide long-term support for project existence and allow us to provide flexible, efficient and directed changes in crisis situations.
Hats off and a big thank you to everyone who has donated thus far!
Chat filter improvements
By sending out an invitation to a chat channel, the gold sellers have been able to bypass our chat-filters. We updated our chat filter so that it now includes channel names, which means yet again we’ll get back ahead of the gold sellers. Kronos will never hesitate to make life hell for anyone attempting to advertise, sell, or buy gold. We warn players of mentioning the name of any gold seller sites (even in a jokingly manner), as our filters are automatic and do not have any sense of humor.
Players whose account information are compromised often end up having their characters used to advertise the gold selling sites, and as result players may one day find their characters banned for gold adverting (RMT). It is possible to appeal these bans, but the process is tedious for both our Game Masters and to you. Change your password from time to time to keep your account safe.
Dynamic Respawns
It has come to our attention that a part of the community find the combination of increased group-experience gain and dynamic respawn provides an unfair advantage to groups using AoE farming tactics. We remind you that dynamic respawn settings were increased for the launch and have since been greatly reduced. We intend to reduce the dynamic respawn further over the course of the next month. There are no plans to change the group experience bonus settings currently in place.
We are also making some adjustments to specific quest mobs that are known to have excessively long (30 minutes), static respawn timers. These quest mobs should respawn faster in the future.
View Distance
Based on the launch experience so far we’re happy to announce that the view distance will be increased from the default 90 yards to 120 yards to improve your game experience.
Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair
Our first chapter in our timeline is approaching. Molten Core and Onyxia’s Lair will open on May 13th (Sunday) at 7:00 PM server time. Note that the instances require an attunement to enter and they are available already. To become attuned to Molten Core, find Lothos Riftwaker inside Blackrock Mountain. To begin the attunement to Onyxia’s Lair, the Horde should seek out Warlord Goretooth in Kargath, and the Alliance should speak to Helendis Riverhorn in Morgan’s Vigil.
Note that raiders who are able to defeat Majordomo Executus will not see the Cache of the Firelord until the next gate opens in our timeline.
Note also that for the first month, world buffs will be removed upon zoning into both Molten Core and Onyxia. This includes the fire resistance buff from Blackrock Spire.
